Valentin Gregor instructs string players and musicians on other types of instruments in multiple styles, e.g. jazz, folk, classical and any genre which allows for creative play. This includes everything from training the musical ear, teaching rhythmic sensation and theoretical comprehension up to freeing one from the pressures to perform and preparing for examinations.

"One requires both a theoretical and practical background in order to gainthe maximum benefit from my instruction. According to each personal's individual needs, the lessons focus on articulation, phrasing, feeling and, of course, the improvisational possibilities available with each individual style. On top of that are the technical aspects of playing the violin that absolutely demand time and attention, and training the ear, something very dear to me. During my lessons I concentrate on playing without sheet music, especially pieces of music that have already been learnt with the aid of it."
